Forbidden City: used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties. There are over 9,000 unique ancient royal buildings in the city. Temple of Heaven: literally the Altar of Heaven, it is a place where the emperors offered sacrifice to Heaven and pray for bumper harvest. This beautiful traditional temple is the largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.

It has English subtitles shown above the stage, the show is all kungfu, dance and acrobatics, the actors do not speak. It is the fusion of modern dance with Chinese traditional arts, looks spectacular, stunning and wonderful.
Beijing Hutong: Hutong is a product of the Yuan dynasty (1206-1368), it means "water well" in Mongolian. These unique street designs are, in fact, innumerous old interlaced narrow lanes with courtyard houses built on each side. Hutong is the epitome of Beijing folk life, which has been studied with the courtyard houses for many years as a kind of culture of Beijing.
Sacred Way: an attractive 7-kilomtetre-long-tree-lined way which leads to the Ming Tombs, bordered by 12 sets each of animal and human statues, and includes the attractive Great Red Gate, housing a stele on the back of a tortoise, and marble memorial archway. This way is the main way among the sacred ways of the Ming Tombs.
Ming Tombs: built during 1409-1644, it is the mausoleums of 13 emperors, 23 queens, over 30 imperial concubines and a eunuch of the Ming Dynasty. Because of its long history, palatial and integrated architecture, this site has a high cultural and historic value.
Jinshanling Great Wall: Initially built in 1368 AD, the Jinshanling Great Wall has never been reconstructed for over 400 years. This section is considered the quintessence of the Great Wall
Mountain Summer Resort, Chengde: located in the northern Hebei Province and 230 km from Beijing, the Mountain Summer Resort, also known as Chengde Imperial Summer Villa. Originally built in 1703, it is the largest royal garden in China. It took the workmen 89 years to complete. Set in a mountain valley, the resort has lakes, temples, halls, art studios, pavilions, sheds, palaces, establishments, forests and hunting ground…as a matter of fact, this emperors' summer resort is the second political centre of the Qing dynasty.
Puning Temple: (or Temple of Universal Peace of Chengde) is a Qing dynasty era Buddhist temple cluster finished in 1759 to show the Qing's respect to the ethnic minorities. Situated near the Chengde Mountain Summer Resort, the temple modeled after the Samye Monastery, the sacred Lamaist site in Tibet. Its architectural style is a perfect combination of the Han and Tibet nationality. The front part of it follows the Han nationality's architectural style, while the back part follows that of Tibet. Due to the world's tallest wooden sculpture of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (22.28-meter-high, 15-meter-waistline and 110-ton) housed in the Puning Temple, it is also dubbed the Big Buddha Temple.
Putuozongcheng Temple: is called Putuozongcheng Zhimiao in Chinese. It was modeled after the Potala Palace in Tibet, thus is nicknamed 'Small Potala Palace'. Putuozongcheng Temple is located near the Chengde Mountain Summer Resort, and alongside the equally famed Puning Temple, it is one of the 'Eight Outer Temples' of Chengde. The Putuozongcheng Temple has a special layout. And its architectural style featured distinct ethnic art, for example, it has many beautiful inscriptions and carvings in characters used by Man people (Chinese Muslim), Han people, Mongolians and Tibetans in the pavilions.
