Beijing: Municipality of Beijing is one of the four municipalities of China, the capital of P.R.C. the old translated name is Peking. It is the political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of China. Its city site was located in over 3000 years ago, known as the world famous historic and cultural ancient city. Beijing has the world's biggest international trade centre—China World Trade Center, the world biggest ancient palace—Forbidden City, the world oldest and longest wall—Great Wall, the world biggest royal garden—Summer Palace...

Day 2
Beijing
Highlights Today:Tiananmen Square; Forbidden City; Temple of Heaven; Beijing Roast Duck Dinner.

Forbidden City: used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties. There are over 9,000 unique ancient royal buildings in the city. Visiting this intact grand palace complex, you will have a wonderful taste in numerous works of art, and you will unveil mystery of the royal family life in the ancient times.

Tiananmen Square: is the world's largest open ground, it was the front gate of the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Trip to the Tiananmen Square, tourists can see the soldiers guarding the Chinese national flag, the stately Monument to the People's Heroes, the old Tiananmen Rostrum, the Great Hall of the People, revolutionary statues, marble ornamental cloud pillars...

Temple of Heaven: literally the Altar of Heaven, it is a place where the emperors offered sacrifice to Heaven and pray for bumper harvest. This beautiful traditional temple is the largest complex of existing ancient sacrificial buildings in China.  

Beijing Roast Duck Dinner: Beijing Roast Duck has enjoyed the reputation of "the Most Delicious Dish under Heaven" for centuries. It is the famous food that Beijing has to offer. Most visitors who come to Beijing must have a bite.

Day 3
Beijing
Highlights Today: Badaling Great Wall; Ming tombs; Sacred Way; Kungfu Show.

Badaling Great Wall: Chinese Great Wall was originally built in the Spring & Autumn Period (770-476BC), 12,600 kilometers in length. It has been considered the greatest of the ancient military projects in the world. Its Badaling section is known as one of the nine famous passes in China, which was built in 1505AD.

Sacred Way:an attractive 7-kilomtetre-long-tree-lined way which leads to the Ming Tombs, bordered by 12 sets each of animal and human statues, and includes the attractive Great Red Gate, housing a stele on the back of a tortoise, and marble memorial archway. This way is the main way among the sacred ways of the Ming Tombs. 

Ming Tombs: built during 1409-1644, it is the mausoleums of 13 emperors, 23 queens, over 30 imperial concubines and a eunuch of the Ming Dynasty. Because of its long history, palatial and integrated architecture, this site has a high cultural and historic value.

Kongfu Show: Kungfu (Kongfu), or Chinese martial art is an ancient and mystic Chinese culture, has a history of several thousands of years. The Kongfu show now is on the stages of the theaters. It has English subtitles shown above the stage, the show is all kungfu, dance and acrobatics, the actors do not speak. It is the fusion of modern dance with Chinese traditional arts, looks spectacular, stunning and wonderful.

Beijing/Xi'an
Highlight Today:Beijing Hutong; Tang Dynasty Dinner Show (Dumpling Banquet with Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show).

Beijing Hutong:FHutong is a product of the Yuan dynasty (1206-1368), it means "water well" in Mongolian. These unique street designs are, in fact, innumerous old interlaced narrow lanes with courtyard houses built on each side. Hutong is the epitome of Beijing folk life, which has been studied with the courtyard houses for many years as a kind of culture of Beijing...

Dumpling Banquet: dumpling (Jiaozi) has a history of over 2,000 years in China. In 1987, having been invented many shapes and flavors, this traditional Chinese food was first offered on the banquet of a famous Xi'an restaurant, Jie Fang Lu Dumpling Restaurant. In the banquet, not only can the customers enjoy the most artistic shape of Jiaozi, but the most flavors of its kind in the world.

Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show: A performance of music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty capital Chang'an (present Xi'an) over a thousand years ago. At the show, the musicians present the music with the Tang-dynasty-style musical instruments, and dancers perform the dances that were danced in the ancient palace.

Xi'an
Highlights Today:Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum; Huaqingchi Hot Springs; Big Wild Goose Pagoda; Cantonese Cuisine

Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum: a much lauded destination in China, in which the terracotta warriors and horses have been extolled as "the eighth great wonder of the world" and "the greatest discovery of the 20th century" since they were dug up in 1974. Nearly 10,000 pieces of unequalled terracotta warriors and horses constitute a big commanding legion in the big pits of the museum. Two exquisite pieces of Bronze Chariots with Horses, uncounted bronze weapons such as crossbows, arrows, spears, swords, lances, and halberds etc also found in the pits. They were all listed on the World Cultural Heritage Catalogue by the UNESCO in 1987.

Huaqingchi Hot Springs:Situated at the northern foot of Mt. Lishan in Lintong County, 30 kilometers from Xian City, Huaqing Hot Spring is famed for both its dainty spring scenery and the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his concubine Yang Guifei in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Big Wild Goose Pagoda:located in the Da Ci'en Temple, it was first built in the Tang Dynasty. Xuanzang, an eminent Buddhist scholar of the time, planned to have a huge stone pagoda built to house the Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures that he had brought back from India.

Cantonese Cuisine: originates from Guangdong (Canton), a southern China's province. It is one of the eight famous cuisine systems of China, consists of Guangzhou Cuisine, Chaozhou Cuisine and Dongjiang (or Hakka) Cuisine. Abundant fresh raw materials, unique cooking ways, distinctive taste and countless recipes are peculiar to Cantonese Cuisine. Its three systems also have their own marked characteristics.

Day 6
Xi'an/Chongqing
Highlights Today:Shaanxi Provincial History Museum; Bell Tower; Ancient City Wall

Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: covers an area of 70,000 square meters, the museum houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural objects unearthed in Shaanxi, being an absolute must for every visitor to Xian.

Bell Tower: a three-layer-eave-timbered magnificent tower featuring the architectural style of Tang and Song dynasties, is totally 36 meters in height, was originally built in 1384 AD, it has a giant bell, grey bricks, dark green tiles, gold-plating roof, and gilded paintings. This old architectural masterpiece of Xi'an has been considered the symbol of the city.

Ancient City Wall: is 15 meters wide and 11.9 kilometers in perimeter, it is the most intact ancient city defensive fortification in China including moat, drawbridges, turrets, ramparts, sentry towers, gate towers, battlements and a number of other military facilities.

Yangtze Cruise/Fengdu Excursion
Highlights today:Yangtze Cruise; Fengdu Ghost Town

Yangtze Cruise: the Yangtze Cruise is the most famous river cruise in China as well as the hottest tourism destinations in the world. On the big and comfortable Yangtze cruise ships, the passengers can leisurely enjoy many awe-inspiring human landscapes and the breathtaking scenery, such as the Zhangfei Temple, Baidicheng (Baidi Temple), Shibaozhai (Stone Treasure Stronghold), Ghost Town, the famous Big Three Gorges, Lesser Three Gorges, and Least Three Gorges… a living most beautiful landscape gallery in the world is appreciated on the Yangtze River cruise.

Fengdu Ghost Town: or called Fengdu Ghost City, is located in the east of Sichuan, the north bank of Yangtze River, 172km from the upriver city -- Chongqing and 476km from the downriver city--Yichang. According to the Chinese folk legends, Fengdu Ghost Town is home of the souls of dead people, any one who must come here to register after his death. As a treasure-house of folk customs & culture, it featured Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Walking amidst the big old trees, Monster statues and the ancient temples, tourists will know something about the nether world and will learn about the systems and policies of the next world.

Yangtze Cruise
Highlights today:Shennong Stream (or Lesser Three Gorges)

Shennong Stream: is a famous tributary of the Yangtze River, also known by its Chinese name of "Shennong Xi". Rising in the north face of the Shengnong Jia Natural Protection Area and twining through Badong County, the stream meets the Yangtze River at the Wu Gorge. Boating along the Shennong Stream is one of the highlights of the Yangtze Cruise. Along the stream, tourists will hear the cry of monkeys; spot the dzerens, river deer, and Moschus moschiferouses; enjoy the boat trackers' songs; see the mystic time-honored coffins suspended on the cliffs, ancient plank roads built along the cliffs, primitive environment, and old villages…anyone who visits the stream will be intoxicated by its mystery.

Lesser Three Gorges: besides this name, it has the other three translated names: Little Three Gorges, Small Three Gorges and Three Little Gorges. It is regarded as one of exciting sections of the Yangtze River Cruise for many scenic spots such as the Sheep Cliff, White Dragon Crossing the River Waterfall, Madu River, Stalactite Buddhism Cliffy…trip to the Lesser Three Gorges, tourists can find many unthinkable human landscapes, such as the ancient coffins suspended high on the precipitous cliffs, mystique carvings on the cliffs, plank roads built along the cliffs… Just close your eyes and let loose your imagination when you visit the Lesser Three Gorges.

Yangzte Cruise/Yichang/Shanghai
Highlights today: Three Gorges Dam

Three Gorges Dam: is the key water control project at the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River. It is internationally-known for the Great Wall across the Yangtze River. Located in the Sandouping Town, Yichang County, it is 40 km from the other giant project--Gezhou Dam at the lower reaches. The Three Gorges Dam was started in 1994 and to be completed in 2009, mainly consists of the dam, hydraulic power plant and navigation locks. After completion, this huge monster will become the largest water conservancy project in the world.

Shanghai
Highlights Today: Yu Garden; Jade Buddha Temple; the Oriental Pearl Tower

Yu Garden: situated in the Shanghai old town district, originally built by an officer of the Ming dynasty in 1559 and finished in 1557. Covering an area of 4.7 hectare, it features ancient cultural artifacts, pagodas, pavilions, carvings, rockeries, fountains, old trees and precious flowers etc. This hesternal private garden is one of the best representatives of the traditional architectural style of the Yangtze Delta area.

Jade Buddha Temple: rebuilt in 1918, it gets the name for the two big opalescent jade Buddha statues in the temple and is considered the Holy Land of metropolis. This world-famous temple houses many valuable cultural relics of different dynasties.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower: situated in Pudong Park in Lujiazui, Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the third tallest one of its kind in the world. Towering over the city, it is 468 meters in height. For years, it has set tourism, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, meetings, exhibition, and other services in one. This city landmark building is one of the tourist hot spot in Shanghai. Climb to the top of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower if you want a bird's eye-view of beautiful Shanghai!

Shanghai/Guilin
Highlights Today:Zhujiajiao; the Bund

Zhujiajiao: Zhujiajiao makes a national name for its beautiful water, old stone bridges, unique streets, ancient temples, ancient private gardens, devious lanes and the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties built houses. It is located in the suburb of Shanghai City, only 48km to Shanghai Downtown, enjoys the reputation of Shanghai's Venice.

The Bund: a "Long Corridor" along the Huangpu River at Shanghai, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations of the city. For over 100 years, it has been a symbol of Shanghai, also called No.1East Zhongshan Road, named after a famous forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution—Doc. Sun Yat-sen. The Bud is considered the World's Architectural Complex Fair as there are 52 tall buildings lining the road featuring Gothic style, Baroque style, Romanesque style, classical style, Renaissance style, Sino-Western Style…

Guilin/Yangshuo
Highlight Today: Li River Cruise; Yangshuo West Street

Li River Cruise: is a famous river cruise in China, boasts of the beautiful stunning karst scenery on the river banks. Along the river, tourists will see the green peculiar-looking peaks, luxuriant bamboo forest, buffalos, villages, fruitful orchards, paddy fields and farmers…It will take 3.5-5 hours to enjoy the picturesque scenery.

Yangshuo West Street: located in the centre of Yangshuo County, the New West Street and the Old West Street are connected and end on the bank of Li River. They are far-famed for local tourism souvenirs, antiques as well as the western food restaurants, Chinese food restaurant, cafes, bars, language schools, Chinese art schools, Taiji (Shadow Boxing) and Kungfu schools...

Yangshuo
Highlight Today:Bamboo Rafting Down the Yu Long River; Cooking Course in the Countryside Farmhouse

Cycling to the countryside accompanied by your private guide, then bamboo rafting down the Yu Long River, then lunch at a famous local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have a cooking course (for your dinner) to learn how to cook Chinese food in an authentic countryside farmhouse

Bamboo Rafting down the Yu Long River: Yu Long River is also called the Small Li River by the locals. Its water is very clear and tranquil, and therefore floating down the river by bamboo raft is ultra-safe. Along this beautiful river, you will have a special experience. You will see fish and ducks swimming in the river, smoke spiraling upwards from villages' chimneys, village women washing clothes on the riverside, fishermen casting nets, cormorants diving into water, children riding on buffalos' back or having a water war in the river, and village girls singing their folk songs...

Cooking Course in the Countryside Farmhouse: In the traditional countryside farmhouse, you will have the opportunity to learn how to cook authentic Chinese food in a traditional setting with a skilled and friendly English-speaking teacher who can impart the secrets of Chinese cuisine in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. When having the course, the teacher emphasizes a teaching style based on actually doing rather than watching, it is a very interesting activity of your Yangshuo tour. After cooking the dishes you will enjoy your dinner cooked by yourself.

Yangshuo/Guilin/Hong Kong
Highlight Today:Reed Flute Cave; Lakes in the City Centre

Reed Flute Cave: located in the west of Guilin, only 6km from the Downtown. It is the largest and most impressive Karst cavern in Guilin. The cave has many beautiful stalactites, stalagmites and fantastic spectacles.

Lakes in the City Centre: namely the four beautiful lakes in Guilin Downtown: Shanhu (Fir Tree Lake), Ronhu (Banyan Tree Lake), Guihu (Osmanthus Tree Lake) and Mulonghu. Since they link together and join the Li River and the Taohua (Peach) River, they become one part of the charming "Two Rivers and Four Lakes Park".

Hong Kong
Highlights today:Victoria Peak, Aberdeen, and Repulse Bay

Victoria Peak: the highest point of Hong Kong, 373 meters in height. It overlooks all of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, Standing atop the peak to have a bird's-eye view of Hong Kong you will be amazed at the breathtaking view of the surrounding city skyline. In this peak, there is an old-fashioned Peak Tram, aged over 110, and the icon of Hong Kong-the famous Peak Tower. This place is the hottest tourist destination of Hong Kong, it combines shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.

Aberdeen: Aberdeen Harbour in Hong Kong is a waterfront harbour resort holding tourist attractions like dinghies, floating restaurants and jumbo kingdom. Besides experiencing the traditional life of boat-dwellers, you may also enjoy tasty seafood here

Repulse Bay: a natural swimming pool situated in south of Stanley Town. It is well-known for the long and broad beach, soft and clean sand, calm and gentle wave. As the most representative of its kinds in Hong Kong, it enjoys the reputations of "the First Bay under the Sun" and "Oriental Hawaii". Nearby the bay, two famous goddess' statues are found standing there. They are both patron saints of Chinese fishermen, one is Goddess of Mercy the other one is Tin Hau.
